I noticed this morning that today’s temperature is displayed at the top of the calendar view in Outlook 365. Instead of writing up all the Windows and Office 365 settings for customising text-to-speech (male or female voice, accent, reading speed etc.), Office-Watch (a newsletter I highly recommend) covered all the bases in some recent articles: However, Microsoft has improved text-to-speech options in Office, and has put the ‘read-aloud option on the Review ribbon where you can find it easily. In Word for Windows 2010 to 2016, this was under the ‘Speak’ icon (see: ). Earlier versions of Word (and possibly other Microsoft Office programs) had basic text-to-speech options.
